What is an Improvathon? An Improvathon is a continuous performance of Improv for a prolonged duration where the core cast usually goes without sleep for the entire time. The Improv performed can be a wide variety of short-form games and/or one long narrative or different narratives that create a movie-like storyline. Improvisations across the world go from anywhere between 12 to 50 hours long.
ICB is bringing to India its first-ever Improvathon which will be a mammoth 12 hours long. And we have an incredible guest star in the likes of Jonathan Pitts who is the founder of one of the longest-running Improv festivals in the world 'The Chicago Improv Festival' and has taught Improv in over 44 countries. Together we will be improvising non-stop for 12 straight hours.
The way the ticketing for this event works is that, for every 90 mins of the show, you can purchase one ticket or go for a half or full Improvathon pass.
About ICB
ICB is a professional improvisational theater company operating from Bangalore. We have been operational since July 2015 and have performed in over 80+ shows across India including the very prestigious Second City Theatre in Chicago, US. We are host to India's first Improv Festival - The Bengaluru Improv Festival.
We are also home to India's first and only active all-women Improv ensemble - The Adamant Eves. We conduct our own Improv workshops guided by our in-house Improv trainers and produce our own public shows and jams on a monthly basis as well. We offer Improv coaching to corporates, educators, children, and other performers as well. Our performances can also be customized for any corporate requirements. Our aim is to be able to help bring the beautiful potential of Improv to as many individuals in an increasingly tense world.
