ITEEHA is coming back to Bengaluru, after a fantastic response in February.
In traditional shibori crafts, artisans have long been known to devise ways in which the handwork finds the most efficient route to achieve its production goal.
This is an introduction to the Japanese art of resist dyeing through the historical, yet oh-so-modern technique of Shibori. This is an introductory workshop to stitch shibori. You will learn techniques that can be created by stitch resist and marvel at the intricate and beautiful patterns that unfold and emerge.
In this workshop you learn various approaches to dying on a silk fabric, gaining an understanding of the structure of the folded and stitched patterns and how you might combine the two techniques.

List of materials included.

  • 1 Silk sample piece
  • 1 Silk fabric piece
  • Dyes
  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Embroidery rings
