Remember the time when birthdays were celebrated with puppet shows? What was your favorite memory? Was it when the puppets told stories of marriages or the when they shared stories of the Kabuliwala, or some other?

If we had such interactive and engaging celebrations then why turn to McDonalds’s mundane entertainment for our kids?

Children being as imaginative as they are, enjoy the open-endedness of the puppeteer’s narrative, they can make sense of the twisted acts and they definitely have a blast looking at dramaticized versions of human beings.

Puppetry is therefore a multifaceted experience where one not only engages visually, mentally and emotionally with the puppet but also connects with themselves along with the puppeteers and the ideas they are presenting.

Puppetry is oldest form of theatre in India. Traditionally, puppets have been used to tell stories connected to myths, legends, history and religion. Today, they are used to communicate educational concepts and introduce the younger generation to various social causes. The flair, drama and creativity the puppeteers use to express an idea, is what makes the act appealing to children.

At this 5 day (3 hours daily) Do-It-Yourself Summer Camp, your kids will learn:
1. The art of communication
2. The art of channeling their inner creativity
3. The art of storytelling
4. The art of theatrics
5. Most importantly: the art of being comfortable with themselves and the art of creative articulation

So let the creativity flow this summer!
