WHAT IS PRINT MAKING?
It is the process of making pictures or designs by printing them from specially prepared plates or blocks.
There are many ways to create these plates or blocks using a verity of materials and techniques.
So Culture Chauraha along with Printmaker Artist Purnima Sharma brings to you an easy and fun way of exploring the world of mono printing with lots of material at your disposal to experiment with.
Mono printing is a process which requires you to work quickly. Theres no time for thoughtful tiny details or erasures (not to say, we won't try). Big swoopy movements, quick decisions, textures and use of lots of found objects is what this workshop is going to be all about.
