Team ITEEHA will be conducting many exciting workshops at The Arts Village from 26th October to 29th October 2018, register soon!!
Warli painting is a style of tribal art mostly created by the tribal people from the North Sahyadri Range in India.
Simple and dynamic, Warli figures are almost like pictograms. These figures are not static - they are constantly active, all doing something. It is an aesthetic which is both simple and complex at the same time. The fluid lines, circles and triangles conjure up not only human figures but animals, plants, trees, houses, rocks, roads, almost any subject can be rendered in the Warli style. This makes it one of the easiest art forms for children to relate to.
No prior experience required, it will be a guided session. You get to take home with you a beautiful Warli painting at the end of the workshop.
