Presented by Jitendra Padam Jain under Gallery Sree Arts, the exhibition 'An ode to nature'' will be curated by Ankush B Sharma. It will be going to held at Gallery Sree Arts, Sushant Lok 1, Gurugrami. Starting from 5th January (11 am) it will end on 7th January 2019 (6 pm daily). The artist, Komal Surana, is giving an ode to nature which itself is the theme of the exhibition.

'In nature, light creates the color. In the picture, color creates the light.'

These words have been very well said by Hans Hofmann. Komal is also inspired by mother nature and through this exhibition, she wanted to awake society about the environment.

Komal, a student at Delhi Public School, Gurugram was born in Indore. She is currently pursuing a Diploma in Visual Arts from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, West Bengal.

Art has always been one of the many things she’s deeply passionate about. Art is something completely different for her, it comes with an emotion that genuinely reaches out from the bottom of her heart, for the world to see.

She is trained in various art forms. However, her interest lies in acrylic painting.

She has participated in a group exhibition at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi in 2017.

Another interest that captures her attention is Photography. She has attempted to contrast these two diverging worlds in a few paintings by capturing Kashmir and poured it out on the canvas in front of her.

She was extremely intrigued by the beauty of the deep valleys, the bits of gushing streams here and there, the perennially snowbound peaks of the Himalayas rising ahead of her and what awed her the most was how the waters of the same river held two very differing colors.

What she has portrayed on her canvases is the vast mother nature herself.

Komal is currently creating from her studio in Gurugram.
