A Pongal meal is the blessed spread of food, an expression of gratitude for the sun, the rain, the harvest and of course the farmers who bring food to our table.
Zambar is ready to take you to the traditional lanes of Tamil Nadu with its festive menu.  It’s time to replace your plates with banana leaves to taste the flavours and spices of Southern India.

The 3 day celebration from 13th-15th January will serve different menu on each day. Relish different types of sambar and rasam like Kadamba Sambar, Pongal Sambar, Thanjavur Sambar, Melagu Rasam, Thakkali Rasam and Poondu Rasam. The other vegetarian classics include Mochai Kara Kozhambu, Medu vada, Pooni rice, Cucumber Pachdi, Thogayal.  There will be scrummy regional delicacies like Puli Sadam, Beans Poriyal, Potato Pattani Masala, Raw Banana Varuval and Cabbage Kootu, all served with a dollop of ghee on the banana leaf. 

The celebration promises to take you on dessert safari with regional delights like Sakkare Pongal, Sabudana Payasam, Sakarai Pongal, Semiya Payasam, Kovil Pongal and Elaneer Payasam.

Head to Zambar with your friends and family to celebrate the season’s bounty and a good harvest.
