 LARGE SCALE INTERNATIONAL ENAMEL SYMPOSIUM
A 7-day symposium of vitreous enameling on copper & pre-coated steel at large scale

The Timeless Moment Educational Trust is going to announce a seven-day symposium of Vitreous Enamel on Metal in collaboration with Sanskriti Foundation at the Enamel Studio, Sanskriti Kendra, Anandgram, Mehroli-Gurgaon Road, New Delhi - 110047.
We, the Timeless Moment Educational Trust and Sanskriti Foundation, support all the artists and beginners to realize their ideas and dreams in the art of vitreous enameling on metal.

Dates: March 22 - 28, 2019

Duration: 7 days

Type of workshop: Residential/Non-residential

Venue Location: Enamel Studio, Sanskriti Kendra, 
Anandgram, Mehroli-Gurgaon 
Road, New Delhi - 110047.

Course Fee: Rs. 15000/ including lunch/tea/coffee, studio usages. 
(Material cost would be extra as per usages).

Outside and foreign participants may avail accommodation in Sanskriti Kendra Campus or arrange their own outside. We can assist you further in this regard.

Places are very strictly limited due to the studio space and accommodation facilities and so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment. We take a pre-reservation to secure places.
Registrations are open on first come first serve basis (full fee in advance).


Symposium Concept
Hollosy Katalin A senior Enamel Artist and Director of the International Enamel Studio, Kecskemet, Hungary, will be leading the symposium with her valuable guidance. 
Hollosy Katalin will be sharing various techniques in vitreous enameling to enhance the surface quality and build the images/icons. 
Participating artists will be encouraged to learn and develop the acquired skills in their own way by experimenting and intermixing various techniques and application methods. Also, they may explore their own methods with or without the use of the demonstrated techniques.

TECHNIQUES WILL BE EXPLORED
Apart from Hollosy Katalin's guidance participants will be free to explore the techniques and methods of their choice and interest. The following facilities would be available to explore the desired techniques  

Creating 3 Dimensional shapes in copper and enameling Participants can explore the possibilities of 3D shapes in copper. Copper has limitless possibilities to explore in desired shapes and forms and enamel it.
Screen Printing & Decals - Screen printing in enamel has many possibilities to explore in a creative direction.
We have halftone images and text exposed on screens. Participants may explore printing techniques in the screen with multiple options.
Decals are best suitable for 3D surface. Participants will learn to transfers decals on 2D/3D surface.
Use of Foil Metal foil has a lot of possibilities to use creatively in enamel. Participants can explore texturing methods on copper foil. Painters techniques In painters techniques the enamel is applied in layers and next to each other without separation. There are many different ways to explain and explore this technique. It offers limitless possibilities to explore in desired directions.

A 2 days special workshop in Miniature Enamel Painting and Bezel Making techniques by Diana Pathi.

Learn a very special and unique technique in enamel on copper Miniature painting technique from Diana Pathi, a master miniature enamel and jewelry artist from Budapest, Hungary. 

2-day special workshop details are as below  
18.03.2019 10 am to 4 pm Participants will be learning the miniature painting technique in enamel on copper. Special vitreous enamel colors would be used in this process. This will make on a dome shape copper circle and we will apply various layers of enamels and each layer would be fired individually. As it is prepared for painting we will start working out of designed samples. One can choose which design to follow. 

19.03.2019 10 am to 4 pm - In this part of the workshop participants will make bezel settings for the enameled piece. They will start with a pre-cut copper strip and a copperplate. During the time we will bend, file, solder, drill, saw, hammer them, as the final result will be a pendant
