The Stage is one of a kind multi-genre dance festival with five different dance forms performed by the prominent artists from the industry in Bangalore.

The motto of this Dance Festival is to build a community of dancers and dance enthusiasts to come together, learn from, grow with and help each other towards relishing and expanding the reach of their art. The Stage will continue to build the community with the festival as a starting point and will provide a single platform for artists to collaborate and showcase different dance forms.

About the Artists:

Salsa - Lourd Vijay
Lourd Vijay is a Guinness World Record holder and the Founder and Artistic Director of the Lourd Vijay's Dance Studio. He has worked with superstars like Jackie Chan, Nandita Das, Phurab Kohli, Mallika Sherawat etc and worked on dance reality shows like Dance India Dance, Lux Perfect bride, Guinness world record- Abh India Thodega and is the principal promoter of Latin Culture, music and dance in the Asian region.

Jazz - Sid Neelkantta

Sid started dancing at the age of 9 and choreographing at the age of 11. he has been dancing, choreographing and teaching professionally for more than 15 years. He has specialized in Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary. He has performed with dance companies YLDC, Shadowz, Vibes, in Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Goa and more. He was awarded at Florence Dance Festival, Italy 2011 and has performed in Switzerland, France, and Italy.

Contemporary - Nakula Somana

Nakula has been trained in yoga, contemporary and classical Indian dances. He has worked as a freelance dancer with the West Glamorgan dance theatre, wales, karma Consult, Norway and the Apoorva dance theatre, India. He has performed repertory and improvised material at international dance festivals like the German festival in India and the Bering's sea dance festival in Norway. He has also worked as a faculty member for the Diploma course in dance at Attakkalari

Influence of Folk - Vishwakiran Nambi

Vishwakiran Nambi is a performer, choreographer, Dance filmmaker and Dance academic. He was the principal dancer, Head of training and one of the Principal choreographers of 'Nritatutya Dance company', for over 10 years and is now the Founder and Artistic Director of LOKA- Studio for Movement Practices. Vishwa is exploring the possibilities in Indian dance frame, particularly with the vast folk landscape. His creations are mostly experiences of regional authenticities and existential peculiarities. He is also foraying into the world of dance film-making to take the art form and his stories to the increasingly digitally engaged audience.

Belly - Bindu Bolar

Bindu Bolar fondly called as 'Tribalina' is an International Tribal Fusion Belly Dance/Bollywood/Fusion Bellydance/ Belly Animation/ Animation artist. She is the Founder/Artistic director of Lights Camera Dance. She is the member of the prestigious "International Dance Council "/"Conseil International De La Danse" under the c/o UNESCO.  She is the first Belly Animation artist in the country who has formulated a unique fusion of her own. She has represented India, in the field of Tribal Fusion Belly dance across the globe in countries like the USA, Canada, Italy, China, Germany and taught in over 23 cities in India.
