Two young women, Soumini & Tanvi rendezvous in the old city of Pune, with different paths
yet the same destination. They meet each other, get to know each other and reimagine each
other. Then comes a night that defines the space that had long existed between them two.
Stop-Kiss is not just a play, it is a reflection of a society that refused to accept what could have
been accepted. Come & watch Soumini's little journey towards self-discovery.

Tanvi and Soumini are walking through Pune’s Koregaon Park very late at night, when they share their first kiss. This leads to a vicious attack by an angry bystander, in which Tanvi is horribly injured. She falls into a coma, which becomes one of the major subjects of the play. Avinash, Soumini's good friend, tries to help with the situation, but there is little he can do. Rohan, Tanvi's ex-boyfriend comes to help nurse her back to health. Throughout Stop Kiss, relationships are explored, formed, and even ended. Diana Son elaborates on the depths of human emotion and compassion in this play. The story is told out of chronological order: alternating scenes take place respectively before and after the assault, which is not shown onstage. Lets live the journey of the pursuits of love, a constant denial which this society forces upon us, and how at the end, love conquers all.
