About the Show:

'3X3' is a unique art show format that blends three sharp perspectives on contemporary thoughts & social discourse under one umbrella. From overwhelming information age that questions & sometimes threatens identities to visual rhythms, the overflowing thoughts, anxieties & emotional resonance to current narratives expressed in visual forms. The exhibition brings together three contemporary artists with unique and different styles, varied mediums and individual concepts to create a visceral experience for the art lovers & art collectors.

About the participating artists:

Artist Ruchi Ruuh has created mind fields using her signature style of embroidery on canvas. Her 3-dimensional work features the use of beads, buttons, wooden pieces and metal elements within her embroidery. Her inspiration comes from her textile background and her style of work is very meditative. Her work would be what one can call 'Stream of subconscious mind' woven on canvas. The abstract landscapes with rhythmic colors create a beautiful juxtaposition that engages the viewer and provokes layers of memories in the viewer's mind.  She has done her Master's in textile design from Nottingham Trent University, UK.

Rohit Soni is an artist of the millennial generation with thousands of followers on his social media profiles. A post graduate from IIT, Mumbai, and graduate from NIFT Delhi, he worked with Microsoft before venturing fully into pursuing his passion for art. He has been invited to by TEDx and various media platforms to talk about his work. His work can be categorized as abstract doodling. He uses marker pens, oil colors, and acrylic to create an energetic visual abstraction of reality. He pursues a concept of 'live' drawing where the end of the painting is not decided at the beginning but it arrives as one shape leads to another thus creating a tightly knit family of visual elements. His work defines the phrase 'The whole is greater than the sum of its parts'.

Sundeep Verma loves stories and people. His work follows a surrealistic style of creating human bodies that are neither abstract nor real. He inspiration lies in the belief that a person is made of layers of experience through his life and if you peel off those layers there is nothingness at the end of it. His meditative work is a blend of human philosophy, Freudian dreams, and subconscious symbolism. His work explores the relationship between art and looker. He has done his Master's in Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins College of Arts & Design, London, UK.

The artworks will be on display from 28th June - 30th June. 11 AM - 7 PM.
