Greetings from Alpas Art!! Make your Sunday more exciting by joining the traditional Kutchi Mud Art Workshop.

The mud and mirror art form is from western India and is mainly done by women of the Rabri community of the Kutch region of Gujrat. The word Lippan Kaam translates to Clay Work. This art connects the person to the earth and helps them to decorate their homes with the beauty of nature.

Geometric patterns and the traditional kutch designs are made through the mud by hand. Each pattern is embellished with small mirrors of various sizes and shapes, these mirror glitter and glimmer with a change of light.

This art form is extremely easy to make and thus no previous experience is required. All materials would be provided.
