Welcome to the exploration of Contact Improvisation.

A partner dance form based on the principles of touch, momentum, shared weight, and most importantly – following a shared point of contact.

This dance practice explores the skills of falling, rolling, counterbalance, how to make ourselves light, centering and breathing techniques, and responsiveness to our partners and surroundings.

Awaken your body through a series of solo exercises aiming to experience yourself in motion with gravity as your partner.

After the warm-up, we choose our pathways through space with different partners.

With a light touch, we experience to heighten awareness and focused listening which allows space for fluidity in our body and mind.

We will finish with a jam.

All levels welcome.
