Kuni Arirang is based on a true story and raises questions around the issues of peace and politics. Yongja, a girl picks oyster at seashore. One day, the tide become full and she goes up to the tiny island Non-som, which villagers regard sacred place. There she marries Mr. Min. They live happily but one day air force starts bombing practice at their village. Villagers cannot sleep because of the fear and noise. Gradually they become nervous and some people commit suicide. For husband's birthday Yongja goes to seashore for oysters and loses her life with bomb.

Audiences are encouraged to participate actively in this perfromance- make a sound of waves when performer shows water cloth, or chirp of the birds when puppet birds appears. Audience enjoy immersive interaction in first half and then later get absorbed in thought towards the ending.
