Mt Everest does not need any introduction, the highest peak in the world is not only the most sort after mountain to climb; even the Trek to BC is equally popular. It is referred
as ‘Mother of all Treks” The sheer presence of the world’s highest peak makes the trek more interesting. Trekking parallel to the gushing Duth Koshi River and later the
Kumbha glacier is an experience any adventure seeking person would not like to miss. The Best view of Mt Everest is from Kala Patthar that is located close to Gorakshep.

Route: Lukla - Monjo - Namche Bazar - Mongla - Dole - Deboche - Machhermo - Gokyo - Gokyo Ri - Thaknak - Cho La Pass - Doznglha - Lobuche - Gorakshep - Everest Base Camp(EBC) - Gorakshep - Kala Pattar - Pheriche - Namche Bazar - Lukla

Itinerary:

  • Day 01: Kathmandu
    Arrive in Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel. Detailed briefing about the trek in the evening, O/N at Hotel
  • Day 02: Lukla(2840m) - Begin Trek – Monjo(2940m)
    Half an hour morning flight to Lukla,one of the highest airports in the world. Start our trek to north up the Dudh Kosi valley to Monjo. Where it officially enters Sagarmatha (Everest) National
    Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. O/N at guest house
  • Day 03 & 04: Namche Bazar
    Elevation: 3440m, Trek Time: 5-6 hours
    Trekking along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags brings us to the Namche Bazar, the Sherpa Capital town. O/N at hotel.
    Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar. Catch a first glimpse of Everest during a steep climb to Shangbouche.
  • Day 05: Mongla
    Elevation: 3973 m, Trek Time: 5-6 hrs
    It is a very beautiful place perched on the spur of Mt. Khumbila during the trek we will have the grandest views of surrounding snow-capped mountains and valleys. O/N at guest house
  • Day 06: Dole
    Elevation: 4,110 m, Trek Time: 6 hrs
    It includes steep trek out of the valley through rhododendron forest. O/N at guest house
  • Day 07: Machhermo
    Elevation: 4470 m, Trek Time: 5-6 hrs
    During the trek, small clusters of bright scrub juniper stand out in the background of snowy white peaks .O/N at guest house

  • Day 08 & 09: Gokyo
    Elevation: 4800 m, Trek Time: 4-5 hrs
    Today while climbing, we can see fabulous view of both down the valley and of the Mt. Kangtega, Thamserku and northern part to the Cho-Oyu (8153m).O/N at guest house
    Next day Acclimatization trek to Gokyo Ri (17,571 Ft) back to Gokyo, O/N at guest house.
  • Day 10: Thaknak
    Elevation: 4750 m, Trek Time: 4-5 hrs
    We trek to Thaknak by the second Lakes and the Ngozumba Glacier. O/N at guest house
  • Day 11: Cho-la Pass
    Elevation: 5367 m, Trek Time: 6-7 hrs
    It is the highlight of the trek. It’s one of the toughest and steep passes and involves a glacier traverse on the eastern side. O/N at guest house of Dzongla.
  • Day 12: Lobuche
    Elevation: 4910 m, Trek Time: 6 hrs
    A short trek through grassy trail. O/N at guest house Day 13: Gorakhshep – Mt. Everest Base Camp – Gorakhshep
    Elevation: 5153 m, Trek Time: 2-3 hrs
    The trail to Gorak Shep goes ahead through the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. In the early afternoon we trek to the Mt Everest base camp (17,575 ft).We
    take the trail to Everest Base Camp through the once vast Gorak Shep Lake. Continuing straight ahead, we come through the Indian army mountaineers' memorials. O/N stay at Gorakhshep
  • Day 14: Gorakhshep – Kala Patthar(5545 m) – Gorakhshep – Pheriche
    We start early in the morning around 3 AM to catch the dramatic views from Kala Patthar witnessing the first light of day shining on Mt. Everest. We come back to
    Gorakhshep and head down the glacier, reenter the lush and beautiful valleys, surrounded by spectacular snow-capped peaks. O/N at Periche.
  • Day 15: Namche
    Trek down a steep trail to the Dudh Kosi and climb to Namche Bazar. O /N at guest house.
  • Day 16: Lukla
    The final day of our descent, we’ll have a long and leisurely trek back to Lukla. O/N at guest house
  • Day 17: Kathmandu,
    Weather permitting, we’ll fly back to Kathmandu today and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. O/N at Hotel.
  • Day 18: Transfer to airport for departure.
