The Arunodoi-North East Students and Youth Summit 2017 aims to foster the participation of and dialogue between various stakeholders, including governments, civil society organizations, industry leaders, and the scientific and academic communities, including students so as to promote "Northeast" as a vibrant and positive force that can take India to newer heights. 

The two day event would encompass plenary meets, debates on issues concerning the North-East, faculty meet and media meet among others. The event will celebrate the success stories of the region while felicitating close to 50 eminent personalities who have brought laurels to the region. Both the day of the event will showcase the reach cultural heritage of the region in the form of Musical Evenings. This event will undoubtedly draw a different thread from the general trend North-East events conform to.

The summit will likely to be attended by Northeast Chief Ministers, Ministers, Parliamentarians, Intellectuals and Bureaucrats, among other dignitaries. Special attraction of this event will be the prominent musician and vocalist Mr. Joi Barua, Owner and President of Aizawl Football Club Mr. Robert Romawia Royte, famous Indian film and theatre actress "Bandit Queen" Mrs. Seema Biswas, first Indian woman to climb Mount Everest for the fourth time Mrs. Anshu Jamsenpa and many more.
