EMOTICONS Theater is regarded as one of Bangalore’s only professional Silent Theater group. Our highly acclaimed performances, which unite the movement and musicality with visual theater, are consistently praised for imaginative and innovative content. Our purpose and design of contemporary mime and more broadly, of an art of the actor, is based on the concept of a theatricality of movement. We educate and spread awareness about the art of mime while breaking stereotypes; we ain't no ordinary mimes.
What followed were multidisciplinary works, on-site experimental performances and a focus on audience immersion. We integrate mime, bio mechanics, music and movement and on gestural presentation.Emoticons Theatre seeks to be innovative with the physicality of theatre, renewing the ancient art of mime to inspire hearts today through beauty, story and truth. Using the expressiveness of the body as starting point, we demonstrate a unique synthesis of aesthetics and story that explore possibilities of corporeal movement, dance, mime, music, original story and film.
