Amongst India's most talented classical musicians, Sahil Vasudeva is widely credited with bringing the piano out of conventional spaces into performance art. After a successful run last year, 'The Un-Recital' returns to Oddbird Theatre this spring.

'The Un-Recital' looks at his journey as a pianist juxtaposed with the chaos of the city he calls home. Accompanied by mixed-media and an introspective narrative, the performance breaks away from a traditional concert recital to offer classical music within a personal context. The performance will include work by Rachmaninov, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Philip Glass, Schumann, Satie, Debussy and his own compositions.

Sahil studied piano under Dr. Nelson Harper at Denison University, Ohio (2004-2008). He was selected from a national pool of pianists to perform at the Young Talent Concert Series at NCPA, Mumbai (June 2015) and is currently artist-in-residence at Vana Retreats, Dehradun. He was studying under Late John Raphael at the Delhi School of Music.
