Metal Embossing - It's METAL MANIA and EVERYBODY'S EMBOSSING.

Metal Embossing or Repoussé (re-poo-say) is French and means "pushed up." It is the art of achieving high and low relieves in special laminated metal. It is an embossing technique used to raise ornament in relief from the reverse side. Techniques such as embossing, stamping, engraving, piercing, and colouring would be used. It’s simple to create intricate designs on metal- and impart lustre, radiance, and dimension—with the centuries-old art of embossing that originated during the Bronze Age.

Originally it was used for weaponry and later for decorative art. This workshop explains it all: tracing and transferring patterns, filling in, adding colour and texturizing. Novices will find out how to use a wide variety of tools and products, and follow a project being made from start to finish.
