Moving from Stillness
-Dance Movement & Mindfulness workshop by Samarpan.
As the name suggests this workshop is an integration of dance movement and mindfulness, a communion of the mind body and beyond.It intends to bring back a natural harmony within these seeming different parts of ourselves to discover a wholeness in our lives.
All of life is movement and at the core of all the movement is an infinite stillness. A stillness which is alive and everlasting. The more one's dance is in tune with this stillness, the more peace and joy one is able to create in their own life as well as that of others.
The Moving from Stillness workshop is designed to give one a glimpse into this place of stillness within themselves and move (meet and explore the world) from there!!
Bhumi is a Dance Movement Facilitator, therapist and founder at Samarpan. Through her workshops and retreats she facilitates an authentic, vulnerable and simple inner investigation using various combinations of dance, movement, conversations, music and other expressive art forms. The workshops are a spontaneous sharing of her expertise in dance movement therapy, integrating it with her exploration and experience in meditation, psychology, counselling, healing and therapy. Her deepest prayer is that people do not limit dance to mere steps, techniques, routines and styles but experience it as a means of diving within and making friendship with themselves and their world.
