Kala Coast presents: "Bulbul-e-Kashmir" Seema Sehgal in conversation with Nusrat Khatri. An interactive session with acclaimed composer and singer Seema Sehgal with a presentation of Ghazals, Nazm, Sufi and Folk music. Last 30 minutes of the event is for Q&A session where the audience can interact with the artist. 

About the Artist: Seema Sehgal

Seema Sehgal has composed several ghazals and albums based on the poetry of eminent poets like Mir Taki Mir, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Nida Fazli and Ali Sardar Jafri and Allama Iqbal. She is also a recipient of the prestigious Hakim Khan Sur Award for National Integration for the year 2005 for her ‘lasting contribution in the field of national integration through her music’. Her album "Sarhad" based on the poetry of Ali Sardar Jafri was the national gift presented by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Prime Minister Nawaz Sahrif of Pakistan during the historical Lahore Summit in Feb 1999.
