The day the Crayons Quit is a play based on the bestselling book by the same name. Written by Drew Daywalt, this is a delightful little book about how all the crayons in the box are protesting
about something or the other. They all have a genuine problem and have had enough. So they decide to quit.
Using parts of the book, we’ve used a bunch of visual elements to bring alive the problems of the crayons on stage, being it creating fire engines, waterfalls, seas, skies, Santas sleigh, a fashion
show. This play is 45 mins of high energy engagement with kids as we transport them into the world of the crayons.
We’ve modified a couple of really popular songs to communicate whats happening on stage and to get our tiny people to sing along with us.
The final song encapsulates what the takeaway from the play really is.
“To try new things everyday”
