'Matsyakanya' is the soulful rendition of a Love Song between a Sea Princess, a mermaid, and a young, handsome Prince on Earth. The mermaid, who is always struck with curiosity about humans and their lifestyles, has permission to rise above the oceans and watch people from a distance only after she is 15. So, on her 15th birthday, the excited mermaid swims to the shore and comes across the Prince partying with a group of friends in his boat. The Sea Princess is struck with Love when she sees him. Meanwhile, the royal celebration ceases when a severe storm strikes the boat. The Sea Princess saves the drowning Prince, but even before he can set eyes on his rescuer, the shy mermaid just dives and disappears into the sea.
