Ever tried to write a poem? No? Why? Did you think writing a poem was too hard? Did you worry about never being able to find a rhyme? Or did you just not know how to begin? Well, whatever your problem was, it must be solved. Because writing poems are just too much fun, and we dont want you to miss out on it.

Like dancing and painting and singing, poems are just a way to express yourself, your thoughts, and your attitude. And, the best way to get better and better at poetry is to get verse and verse in other words, just start writing! In the course of this hands-on workshop, author, editor and reading champion Vidya Mani will show you just why rhyme has a reason!

WORKSHOP FACILITATOR
VIDYA MANI is a childrens writer and editor, who wears many hats. She runs a content and design studio called Melting Pot that creates childrens books and magazines for publishers and NGOs. She is one of the founder-members of Bookalore, a Bangalore-based book club that conducts monthly events across the city to bring books and children together in interesting ways. She runs a pop-up bookshop called Funky Rainbow that travels across the country and puts out a curated collection of Indian childrens books at various events. She is also the managing editor of the childrens book review site, Goodbooks.

ABOUT FUNKY RAINBOW
Funky Rainbow is a travelling childrens bookshop and book consultancy run by childrens writers and creative professionals with the aim of introducing books to young audiences. Our books are handpicked and curated for children in the age-group of 1-18 years and represent the best of childrens writing. The bookstore, which has just entered its fifth year, carries a mix of both fiction and non- fiction titles that are not easily available in mainstream bookstores.
