It’s Time for Adventure @Mechukha

The fifth edition of Mechukha Adventure Festival is scheduled to be held from 7th to 9th November 2017. Adventure @ Mechukha is an initiative by Arunachal Pradesh Tourism in association with Incredible India to promote this breathtakingly beautiful off the beaten destination to the rest of the world. Located 29 km away from the MacMohan Line and at a height of 6000 feet ASL, Mechuka is the Forbidden Valley of Arunachal Pradesh with snow-capped mountains, meadows and verdant pine forests. A visit to this untouched, unexplored Himalayan getaway at the time of the festival will give you an opportunity to experience some adrenaline pumping activities like Paragliding, Downhill Mountain Biking, Cycling Tour from Aalo, Rafting, Kayaking, Trap Shooting and much more.

Accessibility: Mechukha is accessible by two different land routes, one can reach this place via Pasighat or via Silapathar/Likabali. Nearest Airport is Lilabari at Lakhimpur but Mahan Bari Airport at Dibrugarh is having regular flights from major cities of India. Nearest train junction is Murkongselek which is connected by regular train 15613 KYQ MZS IC EXP from Kamakhya Station (Guwahati). Murkongselek to Pasighat is 42 Kms and to Aalo/Along is 142 Kms.

KITE MANJA’s Camp Chupala is at a private river island located at Shorangdem village at around 02 Kms from the festival ground and the market area. From here you can have a majestic view of the mountain range and the serpentine river that cuts Mehchuka from the middle. We provide pre-pitched dome & alpine shaped tents on sharing basis with Sleeping Mats & Sleeping Bags/Blankets. Breakfast and dinner is served at the Common lobby that also has charging points, sitting area, and a place for bonfire. We also provide well maintained eco-friendly makeshift toilet facilities for your convenience.

Added entertainment: Live music and DJ every night at a walkable distance from the campsite.
