Yin yoga is a complete mind and body workout. It is a slow-paced, meditative form of yoga where poses are held for long periods of time (2 to 4 mins) with the help of props.

By holding poses for long, we apply moderate stress to the deep connective tissues of the body the tendons, fascia, and ligaments, with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. As we age, our bodies become tense and we lose flexibility and mobility of our joints. The deep stretching in Yin Yoga helps regain this mobility and eases pain in the body. It is extremely helpful in reducing everyday body pains of a sedentary lifestyle.

Staying in one pose for a certain time brings you closer to a meditative state and relaxes your mind getting rid of any stress or anxiety.  If you want to begin a meditation practice, this class is an ideal opportunity to do that.

Gaurav Negi is a renowned award-winning Yin Yoga expert.  He has a multifaceted career as a personal trainer, coach, educator and presenter for various courses and certifications in fitness.

Please Note:

  • If you suffer from any chronic illness, wear a pacemaker, are pregnant, are above 65 yrs age, have history of mental illness (epilepsy, seizures, others), are suffering from any injury, or are taking any strong medications - please consult your physician before attending, and inform our trainer at studio.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing, there are some poses involved in the session
  • Keep at least 1 hour gap between your meal and the session (if you are planning a heavy meal, 2 hour gap is recommended)
