Darwesh invites to take with journey with us to the fortified city built by the founder of the Tughlaq dynasty, Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq in 1321 CE. Of the seven cities in Delhi, this one is certainly a marvel known for its impregnable character. Tughluqabad consists of remarkable, massive stone fortifications that surround the irregular ground plan of the city. Join us to explore the architectural prodigy of 14th century Dilli!

ABOUT THE WALK LEADER: 

An academic, Meghali Roy did her Ph.D in History with a specialization in Archaeology from Centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Passionate about art and architecture, issues around conservation are close to her heart. She discovered her love for storytelling while conducting immersive walks with Darwesh.

HOW TO REACH: 
- By Metro-

Option 1: Tughlaqabad is the nearest metro station from Tughlaqabad Fort is on Violet line that terminates at Badarpur/ Escorts Mujesar. Take an auto from the Metro Station.

Option 2: Govindpuri of the violet metro line is 5 km away from the fort. From there, take an auto rickshaw for Rs 50 of minimum fair.

Option 3: Saket is the nearest metro station from Tughlaqabad Fort is on the Yellow line (that terminates at Huda City Center). Take an auto from the Metro Station.
