Simon & Schuster and British Council launch the author Saikat Majumdar’s
‘The Scent of God’ in Delhi
February 27, New Delhi: Simon & Schuster and British Council will host the launch of author Saikat Majumdar’s latest book, The Scent of God (Simon and Schuster, January 2019).
The book brings together desire, religion and politics in an explosive narrative by the author. The launch will be followed by a conversation with Vivek Shanbagh, the Indian fiction writer and playwright.
About Saikat Majumdar
He is Professor of English and Creative writing at Ashoka University and is the author of three books, including Prose of the World: Modernism and the Banality of Empire (Columbia University Press, 2013) and the novel The Firebird (Hachette, 2015)
